Security.

For as long as I can remember, Jaxon has held my hand most nights when he's trying to go to sleep. It's funny sometimes you can tell when he's getting tired, because you'll see him reaching around for something to hold. This morning, he mangaged to find Knox's foot...

But I guess that's all the security that he needed. Little Knox didn't really know what to think about it though! Sweet sweet boys...

My Precious Baby Knox-

Today, you are two months old. I can't believe that it's already been two months... I also can't believe the fears that I had before I held you in my arms. For three years, your brother was my baby. I had so many fears when I was pregnant that I would never be able to love the baby that was growing inside of me as much as I loved Jaxon. But one look at you changed all of that. My love isn't divided between the two of you, but you two make it multiply each and every day. You are so precious and the sweetest, best baby ever. Those big brown eyes and tiny little smile melt my heart every day. I am blessed to be your Mommy, little man!

My sweet sister-in-law entrusted me to get some cute pics of her girls today. I failed her miserably. Ha ha. Ava yelled "No" at me the whole time. Looking back now it was kind of funny, but it wasn't at the time. This picture is the best one that we got, but hopefully one day this week we can try to get some better ones! Jax wanted some pictures with his cousins too. So we tried to get a few. Candid shots work best with these kiddos...

Oh well, maybe we'll have better luck next time ;)

Every March, some sweet friends let me take pictures on their farm. They have an amazing hill that is covered with March flowers. It's one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen. These were some of my favorite pictures from this year!

Weekend Away

We are in Louisville this weekend for the Baumgardner wedding. I was asked to take their wedding pictures, so the boys and Justin came along with me, and we're having a little weekend away. Tonight was the rehearsal and the rehearsal dinner. The couple is getting married on top of an old museum and it is beautiful. I can't wait to see how things will look tomorrow! The rehearsal dinner tonight was at the Old Sphagetti Factory. Our meals were fantastic!

When we got back to the room, I attempted to get some pictures of the boys since they were dressed kind of alike. It was an epic fail. Jax had sphagetti sauce all over his face, and poor baby Knox has out of control baby acne/thrush going on right now. They still look pretty cute though, if you ask me...

They snuggled into bed together. Our room has two full sized beds and apparently my dear husband believes that he gets one bed to himself, and I get the other bed with both boys! He's sooo funny (and delusional)...

I had a photo shoot tonight with sweet baby Eily. She got a little upset during the middle of it, so we had to take a time-out for her Mommy to hold her and calm her down. So I decided to take some pics of the two cutest boys I know.

Cute Boy #1- The Big Brother. He's precious, even if he does look like an orphan with his underwear on... Cute Boy #2- The Baby Brother. I could absoultely never get tired of looking at those big eyes!

I think both boys are feeling a little better today, praise God.

Bronchitis in a 5 week old is zero fun. Double ear infections in a three year old are zero fun, too.

My favorite funny Jax story of the day:

This morning he woke up and yelled for me to come into the bedroom. When I walked in he said, "What've you been doin' in there?" I said, "Laundry. What have you been doing in here?"

He said, "Oh, just prayin' to God."

Getting through Monday is half the battle, right...

So as of this week, the brotherly love has officially flown out the window. Jaxon went from being head over heels for his baby bro, to totally jealous of him.

But after he climbed up on the couch today and fell asleep right beside Knox... I've decided that maybe he doesn't hate him...
