Playing Catch Up... Again
Hi... It's winking baby's Mommy here... I've officially gotten really behind on the blog again. Last week, Jax started working on cutting some more teeth, and needless to say, my precious baby has turned into a crazy kid. We've had a busy last few days, so I'll, once again, play catch up.
The last time I posted was Wednesday. We didn't do much of anything on Thursday. Jaxon and I were stranded at the house without a vehicle. My car was in the shop, getting the bumper fixed from where it got backed into around Christmas. Thursday afternoon, we went out to eat and rented a movie...
Friday was a busy day. I had to take my bridesmaids dress to have alterations done before the wedding this coming up weekend. I drove to Lone Oak without realizing I had left my shoes at home. So I have to go back today...
But anyway. After Jax and I left the alteration lady's house, we went and picked up Brittany's things that we painted at the Clay Chameleon. Everything turned out so pretty!
Friday afternoon, me and Justin took the Speechless girls to Louisville for a Creative Ministries conference. We had a lot of fun... Believe it or not, I did not take one single picture at the event. That's kind of out of character for me... We came home from Louisville after the conference was over Saturday night.
Sunday morning... well, I could write an entire post about Sunday morning, and I may eventually. God spoke to me mightily during the worship service, and by His grace, I believe that I am beginning to spiritually heal. I have had some BIG issues with some certain things lately, and Satan has used these things to hinder my relationship with God. I know that some of you that read this blog know what I am talking about, and I want to thank each of you for praying for me. I feel like the "problem" probably will not change, but please just continue to pray that God will change my heart, and help me to worship Him for Who He is, regardless of how those around me act. Keep praying. I certainly need it.
Sunday afternoon we had a fish fry at church for the "Senior Saints." The older people of LBC hold a very special place in my heart, and I am thankful for them and the influence that they have had on my life.
Sunday night at church we had a mission trip presentation. There is a group of 6 of us from church that have plans of going to Tijuana, Mexico on a mission trip this summer. God may have other plans, and because of some recent safety concerns, we may not be allowed to go on this particular mission trip. Either way, the money that we were given Sunday night through a love offering will go towards A mission trip this summer... wherever God might lead us.
Yesterday, Monday, was Jaxon's Doctor's appointment at Vanderbilt. The doctor there looked over his entire chart that was sent by Murray and feels that the stomach issues that Jaxon has recently been having is acid reflux. When Jaxon is congested (95% of the time), the acid reflux is worse. He told us to keep an eye on the problem and that if we felt like things were getting worse, or weren't improving to bring him back in for a scope. But he didn't feel like we should do a scope at this time because Jaxon would have to be put to sleep, and the doctor does not like to do that to babies his age and size unless it is absolutely necessary. I agree. Keep praying that J-man continues to improve, and we thank you for all of the prayers that you've already prayed for him.
Now, you should be caught up on our lives. I'll try to do better with the blogging thing this week. Tomorrow is Jax's one year shots, so we're not looking forward to that!

Stuck.
Monday night, Connie (my MIL) went to Mayfield to rent a movie. We left Jaxon with the guys (his father and grandfather). When we got home, this is how we found Jaxon.
He was 100% stuck between Connie and Don's bed and their night stand. Not crying. Not whining. Not screaming bloody murder. Just stuck.

Britt's Personal Shower...
Saturday night we had Brittany's personal shower at her soon-to-be sister-in-law's house. We had a lot of fun, and she's one step closer to her wedding day/night...
The beautiful, topsy, turvy cake...
