Mommy's Little Sparkler

This picture reminds me of.... This picture.
Just one year ago. Watching Fireworks. Where has the time gone?

Crackin' Up

This little dude obviously thought that something was really funny...

And the source of all that hilarity...
None other than Jaxon's buddy Jake, of couse.
That kid cracks him up.

LibertyFest 2009

Last night at church was LibertyFest 2009. We had fun, food and fireworks. There were sooo many people there. The kids had so much fun playing in the water. Here's Jax playing in the water hose with Bro. Wayne. Mommy and Jax had fun watching the fireworks. Daddy didn't get to sit with us because he had to shoot them off!
My precious little man playing on the slip and slide.
I love this picture. I don't think that there is any way that I could possibly love this guy any more...
My family.
Fireworks...
More fireworks...
This was a great way to kick off our 4th of July. We have a weekend full of fun ahead!

Latest Project

Here's my latest project in Jaxon's room.
"It is not as important to raise children that will change the world as it is to raise children that the world will not change."
This is a quote that my pastor said several years ago in a sermon. I was taking notes that morning and I wrote it down. Even though I was not a mother at the time (I wasn't even a wife at the time) that quote hit me hard. He has said it several times since then and I always knew I wanted to hang it in Jaxon's room somehow. Well, I finally got around to doing it.
I have no doubt that my son will change the world. He's already changed mine. I just pray that the world will not change him.

The Proposal

Some of us girls from church went to the late show Sunday night to see "The Proposal." It was hilarious! There's few things better in life than seeing a good movie and laughing your butt off with friends.
I'm thankful for the girls in my life...

Handsome Men

Sunday morning, my Men looked so handsome for church. I had to, of course, take their pictures. Here's my hott husband. I bought this brown and pink tie for him several months ago but could never get him to wear it. He finally decided to, and he looked so handsome. But, you know, he usually does. And here's my handsome little man. He usually looks handsome, too.
I am one lucky woman.

SUprises from Daddy...

Saturday night, the husband told me that he had a surprise for me, but that he was going to have to leave for a little while and he'd be back. So why he was gone, Jax walked around in my shoes. And when the husband returned, this is what he had in toll.
Surprise #1) A mountain dew and mexican food for me and a sprite and pizza for him. The perfect dinner to please everyone in our family. Oh, what did Jaxon eat, you ask? Why pizza AND mexican, of course.
Why is it that pictures get so out of order on blogger? This was supposed to be the last picture. Little Man when we got out of the pool.
Surprise #2) 24 board game (and 1 vs. 100). Yes, we love that show (24). Addiction at its finest.
Our first attempt at setting the timer and taking a family picture.
Our second attempt. A little better.
Surprise #3) The husband told me that he had one more surprise but that he was going to have to go outside for about an hour and he would be back. When he was finished we went outside and he had set up a movie screen and speakers in the yard. We all got in the pool and watched a movie. It was romantic! Well, it wasn't really romantic because we had a 16 month old with us. But it was very sweet and very fun!
I married the most wonderful man in the world. It's true. Now, that's all the surprises that I can tell you about okay. We must keep this family friendly ;)
