We had our amazing, earth shattering, mind easing ultrasound today.

Baby Hitch Ear
To make an extremely long story short (because I'm tired), we had to take Jaxon to the Emergency Room Saturday night because he had an allergic reaction to some sort of insect bite and his leg and ankle swelled up really big. They gave us an antibiotic and a medicine for an allergic reaction and sent us home.
The next morning, he woke up with the swelling in his leg much better, but his right ear was HUGE.
See...
So, we called him "Hitch" all day. Well, I did anyway. His Dad called him "Lobe."
It was pretty sad, but pretty funny all at the same time.
We went to the PAC for a small group kick off with the youth after church and Jax got to spend some time hanging out playing with his Dad. That's his favorite thing to do this day.

18 Weeks.
Yes, I am 18 weeks pregnant, and I just took my first belly shot.
Size of Baby: Baby Mason #2 is about the size of a pickle. Baby is about 5 1/2 pounds and weighs approximately 5-7 ounces.
Total Weight Gain: 5 pounds (But it looks more like 15!) I know that five pounds isn't great, but it's much better than where we were at this point with Jax, so we're praying the yucky Gestational Diabetes stays away!
Maternity Clothes: Not yet, but I'm sure we'll be dragging them out REALLY soon!
Gender: We'll know in approximately 22 more weeks, when the baby decides to make it's appearance. This one is going to be a surprise!
Movement: Not a whole lot- can't wait for it to pick up though!
Sleep: I'm sleeping pretty good right now. I wake up several times a night but it's not because of the baby- it's either to tend to Jax or to head to the potty!
What I Miss: Unlimited caffeine!
Cravings: PIZZA and Pickles.
Symptons: Tiredness, Sore back and feet.
Best Moment this Week: I go to the doctor Thursday and will have an unltrasound and get to hear the heartbeat. Even though it hasn't happened yet, I'm sure it will be the best moment!
I've also learned that at 18 weeks, my baby's ears are formed and he/she can hear us talk! That makes me smile. Jax and I have been singing the baby lots of songs during the day, and we've been reading books at night. Our baby's bones are becomming harder, and his or her nerves are becomming more developed so that it can see, smell, hear and taste.
I'm putting a poll on the sidebar where you can guess whether Baby Mason #2 will be a boy or a girl! Also feel free to give us any name suggestions, because we haven't decided on ANYTHING yet... no first name, or middle name. Basically all we know is that the baby's last name will be Mason :)Thursday, September 2, 2010
1st Sunday School Project
I was a little sad about this, but when I watched him walk out of Sunday School holding this little project that his little hands made, I couldn't have been prouder.
You might as well go ahead and call "Hoarders" and recommend me for their show because I have a feeling I'm never going to be able to throw away anything that this little boy does.
:)
Proud Grandparents
That's Justin and I.
Our 3 legged bird dog Queenie had puppies a couple of weeks ago.
We don't get many looks at the pups because Queenie moves them a lot, but we do know that there were 6 at first, and now there are atleast 4...
True Story
We got home from the ball park and Jax had fallen asleep in the car seat, so I laid him on the couch. Justin got home and said, "You aren't going to let him sleep like that are you?"
I proceeded to tell him that I was NOT going to wake him up.
So he stripped his clothes off and went and jumped in the pool with him.
True Story.
