Happy Easter

Happy Easter from the Masons!
It's been an eventful day for us... Not only is it Easter Sunday, but it is also our first Sunday serving at our new church, Rosebower Baptist.

Luckily, the Easter Bunny made his appearance at our home, or we would have had two disappointed little boys.

They both got all kinds of goodies...

And unfortunately, this is the best picture we got of our family today.

See?

I almost didn't put these pictures on here, but ya know...

One day, I will use them to embarrass Knox in front of a girlfriend or two.

Oh well, maybe next year.

"What kind of King would choose to wear a crown that bleeds and scars to win my heart?
What kind of Love tells me I'm the reason He can't stay inside the grave?"

Thank You Jesus.  Since the tomb is empty, my heart isn't.

Dying Eggs 2013

So, here's a synopsis of the 2013 egg dying experience: Knox spilt the orange water all over the table, Jax & Knox argued over the blue eggs, Knox cracked two eggs, I ate three eggs, Knox drank a little bit of green water, Knox took a bite out of a pink egg (shell and all), Jax & Knox cried when all the eggs were dyed and painted because they wanted to do more (I cried tears of joy because it was over), then Jax spilt the blue water in the floor. A fun time was had by all...

Until next year...

New Beginnings=Bittersweet

I'm sure that most of you have heard by now that Justin resigned at Liberty yesterday.  We are excited to announce that God has called him to pastor Rosebower Baptist Church in Reidland, Kentucky and that we will beginning serving God with our new church family on Easter Sunday.  This is a very bittersweet time for us... There's no better feeling than knowing you are in the center of God's will, but we are going to miss our Liberty family so very much!  Please pray for the Masons as we make this transition. We love you all!

5

Has it really already been 5 years?

Because sometimes it feels like it's only been 5 minutes since the first time I held you in my arms.
Happy 5th Birthday Jaxon Thorpe Mason.
I love you with all of me,
Mommy

Super Hero Bowling Birthday Party

The Jax Man insisted on having his "5 Birthday" at the bowling alley, so to the bowling alley we went.

It was a tad bit on the stressful side, but it's what he wanted and it made him happy (even if it gave me high blood pressure and a few gray hairs) so it was well worth it.
Melissa even made him some awesome super hero cupcakes for his super hero themed bowling party.

And his cousins came out and joined in the fun!  Every fun thing is even more fun with cousins, ya know.

Hope you're bowling party was all you dreamed it to be, Little Man.

Dr. Daddy

We are in Louisville tonight because tomorrow Daddy is taking his entrance exam to get into the doctorate program.  The boys and I are having a blast hanging out in the hotel room- we brought along one of Jax's early birthday presents for him to play with to try to pass the time...

And as you can tell by the look on his face, he loves it!  Ha ha...

The boys think it's so cool that they are getting to sleep on the couch bed (let's pray it lasts, but I'll almost guarantee it won't!)
Knox is doing a little Bible reading before bed, like the good little boy he is.
 ...and they're out.

Good luck Daddy!  Hopefully we'll be calling you "Dr." soon!
