hospital pictures...

Camping out under the tent: "Mommy, I want out!" Sad, sad boy... this picture breaks my heart...
Where we spent 3 days. It was awful, but I loved the time of getting to snuggle up with my little boy and the world standing still...
Everything is okay, as long as I can hold my Mommy's hand.

Sweet sleeping baby...
I will never forget this weekend, and I am so thankful that my baby is all better...

We are Home...

... and all is well. The hospital dismissed us at about 10 yesterday morning. Jax sure was happy to get to be home and play. He was so funny. It was hilarious to see him so excited to be home. I have some sweet pictures from the hospital to add, but I'm at school so I will have to do that later. But for now, please pray for my grandma. Her brother died yesterday morning, and he was her last living sibling. Pray for peace for the family, and comfort for my grandmother.

I am also playing in the alumni game tonight at GCHS. I'm sure there will be plenty of pictures to post from that later! And J-Man was 9 months old yesterday! Nine months ago yesterday Jaxon burst into our world, changing it forever by bringing joy to our hearts that no words are sufficient to describe. Can you believe it's been that long? I am still asked on a regular basis if I can believe he was inside me. Can I believe it?!? Yes, yes I believe it, I remember it and I will never forget it. And I would do it all again in a heartbeat.

My Amazing Little Man...

Do you think that by dumping all of his medicine in the floor he was trying to tell us that he did not feel well? He's brilliant...

4 Mommies & 4 Babies...

Here's our little basketball star... And here are his friends. Mommy Kayla & Baby Rylee, Mommy & Jaxon, Mommy Lindsey & Baby Micah, and Mommy Kelly & Baby Lilli... I can't wait to see the adventures that these kids have growing up together...

Probably the best picture I got of Jaxon all night. And that's sad. Little man is sick AGAIN. We can't keep him well... Feverish baby=no smiles.
This is how he felt, and he wanted everyone to know.

I love my baby. Even when he won't smile for me.

I'm Dreaming of a "Wyatt" Christmas...

ha, ha... I crack myself up. These are some of my favorites from the photo shoot with Jacob, Lindsey, and Micah (The Wyatt's)...
(Love this one...)

Sweet family, great friends...

The Mason Cousins...

Here are some of the "okay" pictures from our disaster of a photo shoot Monday night. Some of them turned out okay, but for the most part, the night was a flop...Got a smile out of Mya for this one, but Jaxon is solemn...
Love this picture of the matching blonde haired, blue eyed, boys...

Sibling Love (well, atleast Kyler looks happy)!

Moo Moo has that thumb...

Loving on sister...

Maybe next time, I'll be more successful...

Now Introducing...

Wes and Molly are so proud of him, and they very well should be. He is their own tiny, beautiful miracle from God. Congratulations guys! Jax is pumped about his new baby boy cousin!

Happy 2 1/2 year anniversary Jus! (Is there a such thing?) ;)

4) Christmas pictures of the Wyatt family (Jacob, Lindsey and Micah) that I am taking tonight...
5) Hopefully Christmas pictures of the Mason family (us) also to be taken tonight...

We've got a busy weekend ahead of us:

Oh yea! Student Teaching update: 6 more days!

J-Man Gives Us Another Scare...

The picture above has nothing to do with the scare. My Mom (Gran) kept Jaxon and Addi yesterday. They had alot of fun. Jax and Ad got to get a bath in the sink. They sure were cute. After we came home last night, I went to take Jax's temperature (he has had a cold for the past couple of days, and felt a little warm to me). His shirt was pulled up and my sister noticed a huge knot on his back, right on his spine. Now I know I exaggerate, but I promise that I'm not. This was like the size of two silver dollars. Justin and I took Jaxon to the ER. They took x-rays and the spot did not show up on the x-rays, so they decided that the spot was probably a sting of some sort, probably a wasp. Needless to say, it was a long night. Jaxon could not get comfortable so he did not sleep well. Since he did not sleep well, I, of course, did not sleep well. And I had to take my Praxis Test this morning. So I just can't wait to see what kind of grade I made on that... Oh the joys of parenthood.
But his "sting" has gone down today. It's not as red but has spread to small swelling over his whole back. He's happy though, and doesn't act like it bothers him. But pray that it really is a sting!

Not the End...

I don't know what it was really, but this morning on the way to school I started thinking about the night that Justin proposed to me. But my thoughts weren't on how in love I felt, or how high on my cloud I was floating... but they were on my 88 year old grandfather with alzheimers. When I walked into his bedroom to tell him that Justin had asked me to marry him, he said, "Well, what'd you say?"

Tears filled my eyes, and I really started to miss my grandfather. My Papaw, Jay Holmes, was a husband, a father, a grandfather, a great grandfather, a friend, a soldier and a Child of God. My Papaw went to be with the Lord on April 13, 2006, 1 month before my wedding. There are days when I miss him terribly, and there are many more days that my heart breaks for my grandmother, who misses him so much after 59 years of marriage. But it sure is good to know it's not the end...

Little Warrior...

Baby, You Save Me...

God must love me a lot. Not only has he blessed me with good health, a wonderful family, and a beautiful little boy- but he has also blessed me with an amazing husband, who is a man of God and my very best friend. This blog is all about my little boy, and many times during the past nine months, Justin has had to take a backseat to Jaxon... God has to remind me often that I'm not only a Mommy, but I'm also a wife. My husband is wonderful and I thank God for him.

Last night in our youth service, Justin was preaching about Cain and Abel and about how Cain's sacrifice to God was unacceptable because it wasn't the very best he had. He continued to explain this by telling a story about my birthday. I love cards. Cards are important to me, and often times, sadly, I value a card more than I do the actual gift. My husband, on the other hand, could care less about cards. My birthday gift from my husband this year was heart felt and wonderful, but the card... well, not so much. It was obvious that he, at the very last minute, grabbed it off of a shelf of picked over cards. To be completely honest, the card would have better suited an 8 year old boy... Needless to say, I wasn't happy when I opened this card and saw how insincere it truly was. I know that my husband loves me. He tells me everyday. But he did not put much effort into picking out a card for my birthday this past year.

That's how we treat God. He asks for our best. Our best is important to Him. And too many times, we give him a "card that is better suited for an 8 year old boy."

God, I am so sorry for the times that I do not give you my best. And sweetheart, I am sorry for the times I do not give you all that I have. God has blessed me with you... He truly has. And for you, I am thankful. Thanks for everything that you do for me and everything that you give. Even the 8 year old cards...

I love you, J.

Jaxon... and Friends

Here's a cute pic of little man drinking his juice and eating cheerios for an afternoon snack after school today... And here's Jax with his friends at church, Lilli and Micah. He looks like a giant compared to them. Now that he is so mobile, it is really difficult to take a picture of him being still. He's about to take off...

Happy Birthday Bridgette!

Happy Birthday Bridgette!
We Love You! (and we have no idea what we would do without you!)

To Our Veterans, Thank You...

To our Veterans, thank you. Both of my grandfathers served in the US Army, as did both of Justin's. These wonderful men were willing to serve our country and fight for the freedom that we enjoy today... Are there Veterans in your life? Have you thanked them today? If you can't physically thank them because God has already called them home, have you thanked God for them? It's important that we never forget our men and women in uniform and that we remain grateful for all that they have given us...

It's Up!

Big Plans Tonight...

I, my friends, am putting up my Christmas Tree tonight. That's the plan, anyway... I've had a stressful week and I need to destress. Christmas trees, ornaments and lights are good for that. Wish me luck...

My friend, Heather, took family photos of us Thursday. They turned out so good...

It was a battle to make him smile for a family photo...

Tiny little blue jeans...

I love this one...

He loves to pull his daddy's hair! This is the biggest smile we got out of him all afternoon!
