Bowling Night with Friends

Tonight we went bowling with friends! We were going to have an adults only, kids free night... but I decided to just leave Knox and bring Jax along with us. I thought that it would be good for him to get to do something "big" without the baby... Jax, Ber and Kelly looked awesome in their stylish bowling shoes...
This could be the best that Jax has ever smiled for a picture with me...

He loved bowling! They didn't have bumpers, so he had to bowl like a big person... He didn't do so bad!

We helped him a little...

I wish that I could take credit for capturing this excitement in a picture, but it was all Kelly! This is too cute... Everytime that he knocked pins down he was so happy!

Kelly with her ball in her get up...

Daddy showed up! Daddy had to ump tonight and wasn't going to get to go with us, but when his games were over, he showed up at the bowling alley and bowled the last game with us!

I loved Jaxon's tiny little bowling shoes! If stealing wasn't wrong, we would have so walked out of there in these shoes! :)

Ignore how disgusting I look in this picture... It was too cute of the boys not to post!

The big headed boys!

...and the sweet, humble girls ;)

Even if the boys did enialate us the second game, we beat them the first!
It was such a fun night out with friends!

Knox Holmes- 3 Months Old

Baby Knox-
I cannot believe that you are already one fourth of the way to your first birthday... These last three months have been some of the sweetest of my life, and you are to thank for that. You are one precious little boy, and Mommy absolutely could not love you anymore...
Love,
Your Momma

The Rabbit Came...

Happy Easter Everyone!

The Easter Bunny visited our boys this morning... Knox Man was awake long before his big brother, but I made him wait until Jaxon got up to see all of his goodies ;)
Jaxon checked everything out, when we finally MADE him get out of bed.

He showed Knox all of his things!

Knox was super excited about his new diapers and pacifiers!

Love these faces!

As their mother, I want to teach them that Easter is not about the Easter Bunny but about the fact that our Savior is alive!!

However, I also believe that this is a tradition that is okay for us to take part in...

I just pray that they'll always realize that it's not about the Bunny, but all about Jesus!

Practice Hunt

Tonight we decided to have a little Easter egg hunt with Jax, to practice for tomorrow. He didn't get to go to the church Easter egg hunt this year because of his soccer game this morning, so we figured that he needed a little practice. He found the gold egg!

Mommy and her egg hunting boys!

They make every day so much fun!

Jax's 1st Soccer Game

Today was the little man's first soccer game! I think that I was as excited as he was! Before the game, someone asked him how many goals he was going to score. He proudly held up his little hand and said, "Five!"

He was beyond cute all decked out in his soccer uniform...

He and Addi played a little as they waited for the game to start. He is much more aggressive when it is just the two of them...

Jax took a little spill, but he bounced right back up... ha ha.

Then the game really started... Jax did such a good job. He didn't really want to take the ball from anyone. He was just content running up and down the field...

And he enjoyed his first ever post-soccer game snack...

It was such a fun day...

But a little sad to think about how fast Jax is growing up.
So proud of my little soccer player!

Jax & Knox

Happy Easter from these sweet faces...

Now I Remember!

Today, we went to the mall to get the boys pictures made with the Easter bunny. They looked so cute and were in such a good mood. When I walked in I got chased down by a Olan Mills associate who informed me that they had a package now through Easter that was $15. For $15, you get a 10x13, 8x10, two 5x7's, 16 wallets and 6 Easter cards. I asked what the catch was and she ensured me that there was not a catch. So me, being the sucker that I am, agreed to give it a try. Jax doesn't do well for me for pictures anymore, so I thought maybe he'd do better for someone else.

It seemed like a good idea at the time, never-the-less, it was not.

We were at Olan Mills Studio for 2 and a half hours!

Now I remember why I started taking pictures of my kids to begin with! Thanks for the deal, Olan Mills, but something tells me that we won't be back...

Easter Bunny 2011

Jax didn't really mind the Easter Bunny this year.

Knox, however, was not a fan.

Grant's Farm

It was a beautiful day in St. Louis so Justin and I decided to take the boys to do something fun today. We got up this morning and got a shower- and then I realized that my hair brush was in my car, which was 30 minutes away at the gym with my hubby. I started to panic a little bit because my hair is really thick and ratty as it is, and without a hair brush, I knew that it would be absolutely out of control. Finally a light bulb went off in my head and I knew exactly what to do- I used a fork! I knew that all of the countless times that I watched the little mermaid as a small child (and as a teenager and young adult :) would come in handy! ha ha...

But anyway, after Justin came back to the hotel and we got ready, we headed to Grant's Farm. This little guy was pumped and ready to see (and ride) some horses! I tried to get a picture of all three boys on the train, but that wasn't possible with my big lens. This is the best I could do...
Knoxer slept on the train ride...

When the train ride was over, we checked out some animals in the zoo part of the farm.

Jaxon loved looking at the elephants!

and Knox woke up!

We saw this cute little horse... pretty sure he's been on some commercials on television.

Daddy paused for some lunch and a picture with his boys...

and Mommy took a picture with her boys!

Jax Man was all smiles.

and so was his baby brother!

It was a great, beautiful beautiful day....
