Bridges Family Christmas

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!
After our eventful, fun packed Christmas Eve day, we have a more low-key celebration with the Bridges family every year on Christmas Eve night.
And this year, IT SNOWED!
Jaxon and his great Aunt Janet went outside and built this tiny little snowman! But Jaxon was soooo proud of it!I love hanging out with the cousins! There's never a dull moment with these girls!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
After the get-together, we had to get home and get cookies put out for Santa!
We can't wait to see what he brings us!

Visit with Our Gravel.

After celebrating Christmas with our Holmes family, we went to the nursing home to spend a little time visiting with Gravel. We took her Christmas present with us and Jax was pretty excited when she opened it!
These are two of my very very very favorite people in the entire universe, and I feel so blessed that Jaxon has a relationship with my grandmother.
Love them so much!
Merry Christmas Gravel!

Holmes Family Christmas

Our Christmas Eve began with our Holmes Family Christmas. This year, due to Gravel being in the nursing home temporarily, we had Christmas at Kacie and Clint's new house since they have more room to host everyone. After eating lunch, we played some games before opening gifts.
Here's me and two of my favorite little guys. Too bad baby Justice was too wrapped up in watching Jaxon to look at the camera!
Here's my son peeking out from behind his ridiculous stack of gifts!
The kids had so much fun using Dale as a trampoline!
My mother, sister and I...
And my mother and her sisters.
Aunt Sally got all of the kids halloween costumes for Christmas. Needless to say, they were a hit. I'm sure many years from now we'll be saying, "remember that Christmas that crazy Aunt Sally got all of the kids costumes for Christmas..." ha ha :)
My love and I...
Jaxon and his Granny.
Time spent with family is always special!

Henderson Family Christmas

The Henderson gang gathered together at Papaw Ken's tonight for Christmas. I was able to snap this cute picture of Papaw, Jax and Addi. It's just missing little Baby Justice! Here's Papaw, and great Grandpa with the kids.
Jax and Addison had so much fun opening presents and playing together tonight!
Christmas time is so much fun!

Christmas Story Time

Like many Thursday mornings, we went to story time at the library this morning. Today was a special story time though, because Santa Clause was there!
When they asked if anyone wanted to sit in Santa's lap, Jax was the first one to raise his hand, and one of the very few kids who actually wasn't scared of Santa! After they read stories, they did crafts. I love watching these little hands work!
He concentrates so hard!
He had to make sure to give Santa a good-bye high five before Santa left...
We wanted to get a picture of the Mason grandkids and Santa, but Mya and Ava were both terrified, so Jon and Angie had to be in the picture, and this is the best one that we were able to get... ha ha.
After the movie, Jaxon went with Jon, Angie, Nana and the kiddos to see "Yogi Bear" in the theatre. He really enjoyed himself. He is having such a fun Christmas!

Cantata

Tonight was our annual Christmas Cantata at church. After the adults finished their program (which was fantastic this year, I must add) the kiddos went forward and sang a couple of songs on their own. Jaxon did such a good job! They sang "Jingle Bells" and then "We Wish You a Merry Christmas."

My heart already swells with pride every time I see my little man stand before the church and sing. I pray that he continues to enjoy music as much as he does now, but most of all I pray that his heart will remain tender and that the Lord will instill a desire to serve within his heart...
I'm so proud of you, Jaxon Thorpe!

Christmas with Granny & Dale

We started the first of our family Christmases today after church at Granny and Dale's house.

Granny really liked the tile that Jaxon painted for her...
And her and Dale got a little crazy with their gift opening. I don't think that either one of them opened anything that they didn't already know about!
I love my little (growing) family!
Granny and Dale posed for a picture with their three current grandchildren. It won't be long now before they'll have another little one to squeeze on...!
I tried to get a good picture of my two favorite boys- but Jaxon decided not to cooperate...
The first of our family Christmases went wonderfully!
This week is going to be so busy- but we wouldn't have it any other way!
We just love spending time with our family!

Addi's 4th Birthday

I cannot believe that this birthday cowgirl is already four years old. It seems like just yesterday that we laid eyes on Addison for the very first time... She had a great birthday party (despite the snowy weather) with her friends and family, and this beautiful, delicious cake!
She opened her presents and the kiddos played some games together like pin the tail on the horsey and busting the pinata...
All of the boys and girls dressed up like cowboys and cowgirls. Her birthday party was definitely a hit!
Happy 4th Birthday Addison Faith...
We love you more and more with every birthday you have.
You are a wonderful niece for Justin and I, and such a fun cousin for Jaxon!

Jackson Wedding

Our friend Steven got married today-
well kind of. He actually got married in September at the courthouse, but his wedding was today. Justin performed the ceremony and then we went to the reception afterward and enjoyed some amazing cake and some dancing.
We tried to get Jax to dance with us, but he would have none of that slow dancing stuff. He only wanted to dance fast!
So I had to enjoy dancing with my handsome husband all by myself...Bummer :)
Kody and Heather shared a dance.
So did Meg and Bob.
Jax Man did a little break dancing.
And then he and Daddy lined up for the Cha-Cha slide. Mommy skipped out on this one. She didn't feel that she should take a chance of going into labor or anything like that.
This is the only picture that I got of the groom and his bride. Ooops.
But we do wish Steven and Kayla all the happiness in the world as they begin their new life together. Weddings are so much fun!
