Time Sure Does Fly...

Exactly one year ago today...
I had a mini-photo shoot with Jaxon. I got up this morning and did the same thing. It's amazing what a difference one year makes.

It makes me sad to think about how much he's changed, and to imagine what he will look like in one more year. Time sure does fly...

So Long September!

So long September...
You brought lots of fun!
Now fall, here we come!

Random Thoughts... Random Pictures

When you go a week without blogging, and then you try to catch up, you find lots of random pictures on your camera (well, you do if you take as many pictures as I do...). So instead of writing a bunch of short posts, I decided to combine the randomness into one post...
This sunset:
This beautiful sunset appeared Saturday night and I was lucky enough to get a picture of it. My husband and a Storm:
The reason I got a picture of the sunset is because my husband was making me wash my car, even though it was about to storm. Here's my slave driver with a stormy sky in the background. Lucky for him, I did not get rained on.
My Papaw's Tombstone:
Cemetery's are something that I have always been fascinated with. Justin has always made fun of me because I could spend a whole afternoon walking through a cemetery. Sunday night I got to Bible Study a few minutes early so I decided to drive to the cemetery and look at my Papaw's tombstone.
My boys:
One of my favorite things to do is watch these guys sleep. I never dreamed that my heart could hold so much love.
Kicked back:
Jax kicked back in the recliner Monday afternoon to watch a little Spongebob Squarepants. Notice the long sleeved shirt. Monday was the first day that we got to wear long sleeves! Yay! Also notice the new kicks. Nana bought these for him Saturday... They're cool!
Long-Sleeved P.J's:
I love this kid in pajamas. Nothing in the world is sweeter than cuddling up with a clean baby in his p.j's. Monday night was the first time we've got the long p.j's out this year, and it made Mommy so happy! In this pic, also notice the lunch box that my son is carrying around. Monday afternoon I went to a consignment store in Lone Oak. I bought Jax a few clothes, and when I was ready to leave, he threw a fit because he wanted me to buy him this Cars lunchbox. Needless to say, I gave in. He has carried it around for two days now!
My fall table decoration:
I bought some pumpkins at Wal-Mart and filled my beautiful 31 bucket with them. Doesn't it look so fallish!?!?
(Speaking of 31, I am having a party Tuesday night at my house and I hope to see you all there!)
So that's all the random thoughts I have for now. I hope you enjoyed!

Girl's Night Out (9-25-09)

Friday night our Fellas went camping, so us girls decided to do what we do best...
Go to Clay Chameleon and paint and go to Flamingo Row and eat.
Here's is the fall plate that I painted. It wasn't exactly what I had pictured in my head... but hopefully it will turn out pretty. Here's the gang, minus Aims that left before picture time, and Jill and Danae who ate with us but didn't come paint. Like always, we had an awesome time. Can't wait til next time. Good thing it's only two and a half weeks away! :)

Halloween Costume Sneak Peek...

You'll only find it here, folks!
Here is a sneak peek of Jaxon's 2009 Halloween Costume.
That's right... this year he's a lion!
And he loves his costume!

Me, Myself & Lies- Week 1

America's Next Top Chef

Moo Moo's 2nd Birthday

Sunday was Mya Marie's second birthday! It's hard to believe that she is already two and that in 5 short months my baby will be two as well!
(Side note: My friend Lindsey made Mya's cake. She has been making cakes on the side for the past few months and does an awesome job! If anyone needs a cake, let me know!) Jaxon and Mya were fighting over their Nana... This is something that has been happening more and more lately. I'm sure she doesn't mind though!
Moo Moo was a beautiful birthday princess!
Jax was silly as always.
Mya actually smiled for me a few times! I couldn't believe it!
Baby Gavin is always smiley! He's such a happy boy!
She likes her thumb better than the cake...
See?
Happy 2nd Birthday sweet Mya!
We love you so much and are so glad that Jax has you to grow up with!
You're an amazing little girl and we can't wait to see what your third year holds!
Love,
Uncle Justin, Aunt Kendra, and Jax

A Boy.

Between the innocence of babyhood and the dignity of manhood, we find a delightful creature of a boy.
Boys come in assorted sizes, weights and colors. But all boys have the same creed: to enjoy every second of every minute of every day and to protest with noise (their only weapon) when their last minute is finished and the adult males pack them off to bed at night!
Boys are found everywhere: on top of, underneath, inside of, climbing on, swinging from, running around, or jumping to. Mothers love them, little girls hate them, older sisters and brothers tolerate them and adults ignore them. A boy is truth with dirt on its face, beauty with a cut on its finger, wisdom with bubble gum in its hair, and the hope of the future with a frog in its pocket. When you are busy, a boy is an inconsiderate, bothersome, intruding jungle of noise.
When you want him to make an impression, his brain turns into jelly or else he becomes a jungle creature, bound on destroying the world, and himself with it. A boy is a composite. He has the appetite of a horse, the digestion of a sword-swallower, the imagination of Paul Bunyan, the energy of a pocket-size atomic bomb, the curiosity of a cat, the shyness of a violet, the audacity of a steel trap, the enthusiasm of a fire cracker, and when he make something, he has five thumbs on each hand. He likes ice cream, movies, Christmas, comic books, the boy across the street, woods, water in its natural habitat, large animals, trains, Saturday mornings, and fire engines. He is not much for Sunday school, composing, music lessons, neckties, barbers, girls, overcoats, adults or bedtime.
Nobody else is so early to rise or so late to supper. Nobody else gets so much fun out of trees, dogs, and breezes. Nobody else can cram into one pocket a rusty knife, a half-eaten apple, 3 feet of string, 2 gumdrops, a five-cent slingshot, a chunk of unknown substance, and one supersonic code ring with a secret compartment. A boy is a magical creature - you can lock him out of your workshop, but you can't lock him out of your heart! You can get him out of your study, but you can't lock him out of your mind!
Might as well give up! He is your captor, your jailer, your boss, and your master. But when your dreams tumble down and the world is a mess, he can put together the brokenpieces in just a twinkle with a few magic words...I LOVE YOU!

Happy 4the Birthday Aubrey Grace!

Way too Much Fun!

Oh tell me, please tell me, is there a trick to get cousins to sit still, even real quick?
One giggles, one wiggles, one tugs on another.
One crawls, one tickles, then they pile on each other.
At the end of the day, when it's all said and done,
taking pictures with cousins is way too much fun!
