Nashville Predators vs. Pheonix Coyotes.

Me, Justin and Jaxon all experienced a first tonight together. We all went to our very first hockey game.
Here's Jaxon and one of the Predator's cheerleaders before the game. Daddy and Jaxon watching the players warm up before the game began.
Jax thought he had to have a foam finger, so, of course, we bought him one.
This was our best attempt at a family photo. :(
I love this picture! If he would smile for this for all of his pictures (particuarly his Christmas pictures) it would make my life alot easier! Ha ha...

Mommy and Jaxon... It was freezing in there!

Even though there were many times that we had no idea what was going on because we don't know much about hockey, we still had a lot of fun at the game!

Mayfield Christmas Parade 2010

Our church decided to give out hot chocolate at the parade again this year, so we bundled up and fought the code, and were not at all disappointed in the parade and the events surrounding it.
Jax got to sit with Mr. & Mrs. Clause. Then we bundled him up and he and spider man found a bench and made themselves comfy.
Mrs. Clause must have thought that he looked lonely on the bench by himself, so she went and visited with him a while.
And she decided to make herself comfortable on the bench, too. It was precious.
Jax and Mommy posed for a picture before the parade.
How sweet is he...

We posed by Santa's tree for a family picture.
And Jax let Santa hold him for just one more picture.
He hung out on Daddy's shoulders for a while too. He's really turned into quite the Daddy's boy these days...
And here we are, as a family, during the parade.
We had so much fun and can't wait for the parade next year!

Thanksgiving 2010

This thanksgiving we have so much to be thankful for. Well actually, every day we have so much to be thankful for. We started out this years thanksgiving enjoying a HUGE breakfast with the Mason family. After breakfast, we set the timer on the camera and got a group picture. Two of Don's sisters, Lanelle and Janice, joined us this year. We were happy to have them! This is the best attempt we got at a picture of our family. The little ones (all four of them) were not really in the mood to smile for pictures this morning.
Jonathan, Angie, Kyler, Mya and Ava...
Me, Justin and Jaxon. Please ignore all 7 of my chins in this picture. I am not thankful for them!
Jax man tried his first bite of deer meat on Thanksgiving for lunch. He surprisingly really liked it!
We went over to my aunt Pat's for a little while to spend time with my family. Things were a little hectic over there because my Gravel fell coming up the steps. Everyone please pray that she is okay and that nothing serious happened when she fell.
Addi has gotten to where she loves smiling for pictures!
Baby Justice (mini Clint Gill) is getting so big!
We went to Justin's aunt Susie's for supper, but unfortunately by that point I was extremely tired and did not take any pictures. :(
Friday night we went over to my sister's for thanksgiving with the Henderson side of my family. We had a great meal and the kiddos played while the adults watched football.
At one point we looked over, and Addi and Jax were coming out of the playroom like this! It was hilarious!
Mammy and Addison (such a good picture).
Kacie and her baby boy.
More hugs for Jaxon from Addison.
The grandkids. Can't wait to add another one to the mix!
I have so much to be thankful for this thanksgiving.
I have a Savior who loves me enough to give His life for me.
I have an amazing husband and a beautiful little boy.
I have a healthy baby boy or girl growing in my belly.
I have a wonderful family.
I have some incredible friends.
I am blessed...
on thanksgiving, and every other day, as well.

Learning Early.

Justin and I feel that it is important for our youth at church to participate in several mission projects throughout the year. This morning, we went to the Needline in Mayfield where we handed out Thanksgiving groceries to families that needed a little help this holiday.
They bagged groceries and then as cars pulled up to pick them up, they loaded them into their cars for them. I think that it was a humbling, learning experience for all of us.
There wasn't a whole lot for Jaxon to do, so one of the workers gave him several sheets of stickers and he stuck stickers on all of the bags before we handed them out. He thought he was doing something so important, and it was so sweet to see him so excited because he thought he was really helping out.
Justin and I pray that our children have servant's hearts, and its small projects like this that help them to learn early.

"My Daddy Killed a Stupid Reindeer."

That's what Jax likes to tell everyone anyway. That his Daddy shot a stupid reindeer.
He did NOT in fact shoot a reindeer, but he did shoot a deer.
(And for what it's worth, there's few things in life more attractive than a man in camo ;) )
He shot an 8 pointer. And Jaxon was terribly excited.
I was afraid it would freak him out a little bit, but it didn't.
He was ecstatic.
He really would have rather been hunting with his Daddy...

He's going to be...

...a good big bro.

Grizzlies v. Heat

Last night our family went to Memphis to the Grizzlies basketball game vs. the Miami Heat. The main reason that we were so excited about this game was because of this guy- Lebron James!
Jax and I went and found our seats while Daddy went to the concession stand and got us some snacks.
Daddy and Jax enjoyed popcorn, nachos and a hot dog (Actually Jax enjoyed all of those things. He ate more than me and Justin put together!)

This kid was as happy as a lark. I'm not exactly sure what that saying means, or even really what a lark is, but I think it's some kind of bird??
Regardless, the kid was happy and he had an awesome time!
The place went crazy, because, believe it or not, the Grizzlies pulled off a victory over the Heat. The Heat has more talent than any team in the game this year, but has yet to live up to its potential...
But we were just happy to be there- and to witness the crazy ending of the Grizzlies winning at home on a last second shot.
Jaxon's wing span is almost as big as this guys...
Justin's is too...

When we're with family, any time spent together is special.
I am so thankful that Justin and I can take Jaxon to special places like this and make memories with him while he's still little.
Because I'm sure that when he's grown, it's nights like tonight that we will remember most...
