Overdue Thankfulness...

An overdue list of things that I am thankful for: Beginning with this little boy. He graced us with his unexpected presence, growing inside of me 18 months ago... Nine months ago, he took his time (25 hours) coming into our world, and our lives have never been the same. Every day when I see his sweet smile, I realize that this life is worthwhile, because of him.I am thankful for family. I am thankful for grandparents that love me, and grandparents that love my little boy. I get a little sad when I think about the great grandparents that Jaxon never got to meet.
And I am also thankful for this goofy smile. Look at all of those teeth!
I am thankful for my salvation. God must love me a whole lot in order to give His Son for me. There aren't many people that I can imagine giving my son's life for (okay, I don't think there is anyone!) I am thankful that God loves me so much.
And I am thankful that He loves this silly little boy.

I am thankful for lazy days, sitting around the house with nothing that HAS to be done. I am thankful that in four days, my student teaching will be finished and I will get to be at home with my little boy like this everyday.
And I am thankful that I GOT A NEW CAMERA- a new camera that is good enough to capture this drool stringing from the most precious mouth ever created...
And most of all, I am thankful for this man. I love this man. He is the greatest blessing and I am so thankful that God chose me to be his wife. I look forward to the rest of our lives together.
And I am thankful that he is such a wonderful father to our son...

And I am thankful that there are only 25 days 'til Christmas! (And for the snow that was falling from the sky when I left home this morning!)
I hope that everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving, full of gratitude and people/things in which to be thankful... Isn't God good?

I was sitting here at school, mad over things I have no control over, so I opened up your blog hoping for some sweet new pictures and words to remind me that there are more important things than the junk going on here. Thanks, Kendra for you sweet thoughts and for always being open to the things God lays on your heart. It's ALWAYS such a blessing!!!

I'm always glad to get on here and read your comments. It reminds me that there is someone out there that cares about what is going on in my crazy mind... and cares enough to read about it. Thanks for that!

I do care...very much, and as I said, I am always blessed by what you have to say. Your sweet mother-in-law means the world to me, and what matters to her matters to me. You all matter to her, and so that at first made you special in and of itself. Now, I am just so thankful to have you as a friend! I hope that makes sense (the kids keep coming up asking me questions-HA!!)
