Justin and I feel that it is important for our youth at church to participate in several mission projects throughout the year. This morning, we went to the Needline in Mayfield where we handed out Thanksgiving groceries to families that needed a little help this holiday. They bagged groceries and then as cars pulled up to pick them up, they loaded them into their cars for them. I think that it was a humbling, learning experience for all of us.
There wasn't a whole lot for Jaxon to do, so one of the workers gave him several sheets of stickers and he stuck stickers on all of the bags before we handed them out. He thought he was doing something so important, and it was so sweet to see him so excited because he thought he was really helping out.
Justin and I pray that our children have servant's hearts, and its small projects like this that help them to learn early.
